Awesome Weekend.

 

No really! Well, except for stepping on a bee earlier today and getting the business end of it in my toe. Yesterday was what I hope to be the first annual Poker @ Rob’s WSOP ME Special Poker Night (PaRWSOPMESPN ???). Nine of us gathered around the felt to play a special poker game using the November Nine’s starting stacks from the WSOP Main Event. I didn’t make it to the money but Nikki finished 3rd and covered our expenses for the night. Starting chip stacks varied from 58.9 million chips all the way down to 6.8 million chips. Doesn’t sound very fair does it? Well, let me put this in a little perspective. Mooney bought the big stack and started with almost 60,000,000 chips. Nikki cheaped out (hehe) and started with 6,800,000. Mooney busted 6th, Nikki finished 3rd. At one point, 3-handed, she was even chip leader!!! As well, a friend of our’s from Talking Poker made the drive down from Toronto to play as well as join us for supper! Brag: Staying up till 4am shooting the shit about poker and computers. Beat: getting up at 8am with the kids. Brag: TOTALLY worth it!

Today the weather was….HOT! Hovering somewhere at 30 degrees C but felt like 43C with the humidex. Spent the better part of the afternoon outside with Alex, hanging in the pool and staying cool. This was after I stepped on the bee.
