He’s sooooooo big!! Ryan does something new every day it seems. Sigh…

Well, here’s the update. I’m doing it early because I can

By 8 months, Ryan… SHOULD be able to:

-bear some weight on legs when held upright – yes.
-feed self cracker – yes.
-rake with fingers an object and pick it up in fist – yes.
-turn in the direction of a voice – yes.
-look for a dropped object – yes.

…will PROBABLY be able to:

-pass a cube or other object from one hand to the other – yes.
-stand holding on to someone or something – he can do this a little bit. He can maybe stay up for about 3-5 seconds before his legs give out on him.
-object if you try to take a toy away – OH YES!
-work to get a toy that’s out of reach – Yes! He’s quite ont he move now a days.
-play peekaboo – nope.
-get into sitting position from stomach – no. No sitting on his own yet.

…may POSSIBLY be able to:

-creep or crawl – He is the master of the creep.
-pull up to standing position from sitting – no sitting so no standing.
-say “mama” or “dada” indiscriminately – no, but he loves to say “baba”

…may even be able to:

-play patty cake or wave hands – He claps and he waves at himself, but it’s not in response to us.
-cruise – no.
-stand alone momentarily – no.
-understand “no” but not always obey it – I don’t think so.
