That’s right people. The Iceberg, Ice-muthafuckin’-T is back with a new album, Gangsta Rap, hittin’ the street next Tuesday. My initial take on this album is that flow is very similar to Return of the Real. This isn’t a bad thing. I was somewhat disappointed with 7th Deadly Sin and VI still reigns as one of my favourites. I look forward to listening to this a few more times before I’m ready to lay down a definitive opinion on the long awaited return of The O.G.

Okay, so for whatever reason, the number one search that’s bringing people to this site is “bon cop bad cop torrent”. I find that rather amusing. This is arguably the best Canadian made movie ever and has just overtaken Porky’s as the number one box office draw in Canada for Canadian movies. Porky’s had a 25 year run with $11.2M and BCBC just broke that with $11.3M. (I don’t know if the $11.2 for Porky’s is adjusted dollars or not, I’m going to presume that it is since otherwise BCBC would probably have to earn about $40M to equal $11.2M of 1981 dollars)

So, to all you wanna-be thieves that are trying to download this movie – and I’m going to presume that most of you are Canadian – just wait for it to come out on DVD and buy it! If you haven’t seen it yet, I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. If you’ve seen it already and are trying to download it – why? The Canadian film market is too small and too fragile to be able to support making more quality movies like this if the DVD sales aren’t there to increase the revenue from the movie. Smarten up!

So, I’ve been on this planet for 13 months now.  I’ve learned so many new and amazing things and I have so much more to learn.  Here’s another monthly update.

By the end of this month, I SHOULD be able to:

*pull up to standing position – yup.
*get into a sitting position – yup.
*cruise – yup.
*clap hands – yup.
*indicate wants in ways other than crying – yup, so I’m all on track here.

…will PROBABLY be able to:

*put an object into a container – yup, I started out putting my toys away at night, and now,  I put my toy blocks together.
*imitate activities – I love sticking out my tongue after my mommy does.  And I will mimic sounds too!
*stand alone - mastered this long ago.
*use 1 recognizable word - not yet, but I’m very close.

…may POSSIBLY be able to:

*drink from a cup – finally figured out a sippy cup, well a starter one, it has a nipple like tip rather than a hard plastic one.
*use 2 recognizable words – see above.
*point to a desired object – No pointing yet, I reach though, does that count?  I also look in the direction of a pointing finger now, when I didn’t use to, maybe that’s the first step.
*scribble – oooh, now this sounds like fun, I will have to talk with mommy and daddy to see what this is.
*walk well – you bet!  I am a walking machine.

…may even be able to:

*use a spoon/fork – sorta.  I can hold the spoon and put it in the food.  I can also move the spoon to the mouth.  But I don’t always put the spoon in the bowl or the mouth the right way, so I never really have food on it.
*remove an article of clothing – again, sorta.  Starting about a month to two months ago, whenever my parents would put my pj’s on, I would tug at the one sleeve.  Eventually I would get my arm out of it, but that’s about as far as I get.  I’ve only got two arms out once and never the whole shirt off.
*point to 1 body part when asked – Grandma Andrea is working on this one with me.  Next time she babysits we will practice some more.
