So….went to see Riddick last night. It seems as though the general consensus was we liked it. Jason didn’t care too much for it. Haven’t had a chance to find out why yet. Tracy and Mike seemed to like it. Nikki and I both did like it. My thoughts on it: The Art Director deserves an Oscar, the Cinematographer and Director, on the other hand, need to be shot. A couple different styles of shooting they used were absolutely awful! At first I thought there was a problem with the film reel as scenes kept ‘cutting’, dropping what appeared to be a second or so of footage. Of course it didn’t help that the sound was also screwed up right at that point. It wasn’t until it happened a few more times that I realized it was supposed to be part of the movie. Then, during one big fight scene it looked as though someone forgot to bring the camera to that day’s shoot but fortunately someone had a HandiCam in their car. The entire scene was blurry and moving far too quickly for anyone watching to really make out much of anything. One final note about the movie (from me anyway, Nic may post yet about her thoughts): It really suprised me that the theatre wasn’t full. We went to the late show on opening night and the theatre was MAYBE 65-70% full. Sure, this is no LotR or Harry Potter, but it’s opening night for christ’s sake!
In other, far more important, news…We finally met Mike last night. Now, I’m not 100% certain that Mike has ever been mentioned on here before. You see, Mike is Tracy’s boyfriend. (This is Tracy D for those that are keeping score) We (being Nikki, Jason & I) had never met Mike. Now, I’m not outright saying that we didn’t think he existed, but let’s just say the words Polkaroo and Snuffleuffagus had been bantered about.
Just kidding Tracy & Mike! Hopefully Mike will make it into town more often so we can all get together. While we did have a bit of time before the movie to talk, it was while sitting in theatre seats so it was kinda hard to have a decent conversation.

It has just been confirmed. I am incredibly weird.
Why? You ask. Well if you click here and take a look you will see. I think they are kinda cute, and I so want one. Yup, that’s gotta be pretty weird.

Oh yeah!
I kick ASS! Finally beat the sponsor challenge for the Gunny’s Gulch run in Amped.
Who’s your daddy? Who’s your daddy!

Creed has broke up!!!! Let the dancing and rejoicing begin!

First off, thanks to Jen for calling me and waking me up so I could get up out of bed and make the announcement…
Now for the announcement:
Yep, it’s Tracy L’s (Tracy II on the comments) birthday today! Regardless of her feelings about it, Nikki & I want to wish her a very happy birthday and hope her day goes exactly how she wants it to!
[EDIT: Note - the above birthday message looks better in a non-IE browser such as Firefox or Mozilla or Opera or Safari - it actually blinks. So if you're stuck using IE or an IE-based browser (such as MyIE2) just blink your eyes repeatidly to simulate the blinking message]

I had a post idea. Then I came here to post. And it went away. Now I don’t know what i was going to post. Damn.
We’re going to see the new Harry Potter flick tomorrow. (Hopefully – gonna have to head up to the theatre first thing in the morning to get the tix because I’m too cheap to buy them online…)
hmm…wonder what that post idea I had was…it’s going to bother me now.
EDIT: Oh! Also, check back tomorrow for a BIG announcement!

Since she requested a post and Rob forgot she came to the movies with us (Read his last post to see what I mean), I dedicate this post to Tracy II.
ALL HAIL TRACY II!!!!!
Hehe, I am so going to be in trouble for this post.
