I’m a bad kid

Big oops for me. I completely forgot about my Dad’s birthday until today. Fortunately, his birthday is today. So better remembering now, rather than a week or a month later. I would never hear the end of it, if I had.

So, had to rush out of work and head right to the mall first thing. Sucky thing though, is my Dad is hard to buy for. I never know what to get him. Had to go for the old stand-by–clothes. Got him a nice new polo-like shirt. Now, cross my fingers that I got the right size. I can never remember what will fit him. Definitely will have to keep the reciept, just in case.

Another good thing that might get me off the hook too is I’ve been trying to call home all day. Wanted to ask my Mom what Dad might want and if it’s clothes, what size he is. Don’t know if I should worry, but no one has been answering. At least they have call display and will know I’ve call a hundred times today. Maybe they will just assume it was to wish him a happy birthday.

And I hope Dad doesn’t mind that the present isn’t wrapped. I completely forgot to buy wrapping paper while at the mall. It’s been a fun day all around. At least remembering my Dad’s b-day today has reminded me that it’s my brother’s birthday in 4 days. He’s even harder to buy for and I haven’t seen him or talked to him since Christmas. More mall shopping. Weeeeeee!

So, forgotten birthday update. Dad called me back and I wish him a happy birthday then and let him know I got him a present. He thanks me and informs me, so far I’ve been the only one to remember.
