You’ll have to forgive her. She’s kinda delusional when she first wakes up…Cute…but delusional…

Since we’ve already missed another day without a post, I figured I would put something up as soon as I woke up.
THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST! THIS IS A FILLER POST!

I hate hiccups!!!!!!!

Just found out today that Research In Motion is holding a job fair here in town for their Waterloo headquarters. Definitely think I’m going to head down to it and see if I can improve my financial situation some. The salary difference amounts to about a 50% increase in wages. Which FAR offsets the potential small cost of living increase…
Oh, and speaking of luck. The upper management here at work still haven’t seen fit to make the draw for the $2000. I sent an email on Saturday asking about a timeline but haven’t heard back from the person in charge yet.

See that link up there at the top? Click it. Why? There’s some new pictures. I just uploaded about a dozen or so pics. They’re located in the Freya folder and the Pika folder. There are some pics of Pika in the Freya folder but it’s only because Freya was in those pics as well. If it’s just Pika in them (or Pika and Kyla) they’re in the Pika folder.
I know it’s been almost 18 months and the Florida pics still aren’t up. I swear, I’ll get to them sometime…

…to NOT make movies based on video games: “House of the Dead”
Normally, when posting this type of thing, I would include a link to the movie website or at least IMDB. Not this time. I don’t want to do ANYTHING to promote this movie. Hell, even writing this bad stuff about it is a form of promotion but I’m looking at as more of a Public Service Announcement. This movie is based on a Sega video game that is similar to Atari’s “Area 51″ that is a gun-based shoot-’em-up. This movie SUCKED. Even the (seemingly obligatory) titties in it weren’t that great.
REBUTTAL: Just so everyone knows – I was only teasing Nikki about how long it took her to come up with the faces. She really has done an excellent job at learning Adobe Illustrator. If you’ve ever used any Adobe product you know that the learning curve is NOT easy. If fact, chiropracty may be an easier task to learn than mastering photoshop. The two of us a meddling through it, learning how to do things as we go along. Now that she’s got the heads done, we’re working on another project that we hope to reveal sometime soon.

First part goes to Rob:
=P
It really didn’t take me that long to get the pics done. And besides, before I started, I had no clue how to use Adobe Illustrator.
Second Part:
Let me know everyone what you think of the pics. I’d like to know. Dunno if they look like Rob and me. But at least you can tell male and female.
Third part:
As I expected, I did not get the GM position. Oh well, guess I will be a TS forever.
*Sigh*

YAY! My artist finally pulled off the new pics! Well, actually, she finished them yesterday – which was probably the only useful thing either of us got accomplished yesterday. It was such a lazy day. I like lazy days.
On to other stuff: Have you ever wondered how society managed to survive prior to the invention of the microwave oven? Seriously, how many times a day do you use the microwave? Ours is used almost exclusively. It’s just soooooo much more convenient. Sure, we use the oven for things like chicken wings, chicken strips, french fries. The stove is used for the bacon and eggs. We even use the stove for Sidekicks and KD (although both of those CAN be cooked in the microwave it actually takes a bit longer!). But the microwave rocks for most other things: Hot Dogs, Hot Stuffs, Popcorn, and many, many other tasty edibles…

Well, today I had another GM Inteview. Before I let everyone know how it went, I will give a little detail of the process first.
First, there was a quick hit project. I had 24 hours to create a plan on how to find out why a hypothetical company was having issues with morale. If I did well on that project, I would go to the next step. I, apparently, did well, as I received a second project. This project was an elaboration on the first. I had to create a four week plan to implement the information I submitted in the first project. I had about four days to work on this.
Today, I had a half hour to present my project to a panel. The panel contained the HR manager, the Site Director and the SDM. After presenting, I had a normal interview.
For the most part it went well. I’ve done so many now, it’s old news to me. In fact, the interview part of the presentation was pretty much the same as the interview I had the last time I went for GM. My presentation went over well, it seemed as if they all liked it. I even gave them food for thought, which was stated during the interview. I was asked how can I create a plan for morale if morale is low due to low wages. I told them about how, usually low wages are compensated by better benefits. I explained furthar, that if a company offers higher wages, they usually have lower benefits. If you compare the two companies, wages are typically equivalent, if you include what is gained by the benefits. The only downside, is that not all agents are aware of this. If they know about this, wage issues can be decreased by that understanding. The Site Director immediately said that was something they had to take away. This is a big issue currently at our site. So, hopefully Kudos to me!
Unfortunately, the Site Director also threw me for a loop. I just did not have the answers to one of his questions. I didn’t even plan for it to come up in the interview. For some of my ideas, he wanted to know cost. As soon as he asked that, my brain immediately went FUCK!!! I just could not really answer. I hadn’t figured any of that out. Which sucks, because GMs help manage the business. This is big for a GM. Probably a big factor to getting the GM position.
So now I’m thinking, I might not get the position. If the answer to that one question was critical, I blew it. Seriously, blew it. Well, if I don’t get the job, at least I already know what my feedback will be.
I’m going to cross my fingers though. I want to be a GM soooooooo bad. And, if I do get it, my first thing to ask for help on, is how do I create budgets for a call center. I now know that is my biggest weakness right now. My biggest drawback.
Well, everyone wish me luck.

Well, finally got to watch the first episode of the new season. This season is definitely going to be great. Tonight when I go home I’m hopefully going to be watching the season premiere of The Shield as well. That’s assuming that I didn’t screw up the VCR again. Grr…we really really need to get a DirecTV TiVo unit and then I won’t have this problem. I *HATE* VCRs….
