God I hate training….

Just kidding. As you can probably tell, I didn’t win the grand prize; which turned out to be $1650. Everybody (all 19 of us) entered into the draw each received $50 Amex gift certificate though. Better than nothing. Now I can buy a new X-Box game!

How lucky am I? Well, not lucky enough to have picked up the ten mill in last week’s Super7. But I am lucky enough to have a great woman who loves me. Alright, enough of the sappyness. The real point of this whole thing is that tomorrow is FINALLY the draw for the $2000 at work. Apparently the final tally for entrants is 19. I’m not sure of my exact odds as some agents only have one ballot whereas I have five I believe. Someone has more than me though. I think that my odds are slightly better than 1 in 19.

I’ll let you all know tomorrow if I’m richer or not. And, before y’all even bother askin’ – I’ve already got plans for the cash – so you’re all outta luck.

Okay, this has been written about and talked about across the globe in many different mediums. Hell, I’m not sure but I may have written about it myself in the past but it’s gotta be said again: Michael Douglas is a very lucky man. I’m just watching the movie ‘Intolerable Cruelty’ (yeah yeah, but there’s nothing else on at 2:30 in the morning) and Catherine Zeta Jones is most definitely one of the most beautiful women in the world. Don’t misunderstand me here – I’m not talking about hot or anything else lecherous like that – I mean beautiful in the classic, Audrey Hepburn-esque sense.

Whew…what a tiring few days it’s been. Nikki & I spent the better part of Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday moving stuff from my apartment to hers. Yeah, I’ve been living here for a few months but still had my apartment lease until the end of March so a lot of my stuff was still there (if it wasn’t my roommate would be practically sitting on the floor and would be eating off her lap as all table surfaces were mine). So, the lease is almost up and we needed to get the stuff outta there. It’s all gone now except for the coffee table and end tables as well as my microwave, toaster & pots so Tracy had stuff to cook with.

So…Nikki’s place now looks like that woman’s place that I wrote about earlier that kept buying shit off eBay. There are boxes everywhere. The next step is two-pronged. First, we plan on going through all the boxes to try to weed out stuff that we don’t need that we can sell on eBay. Second, we’re going to start looking for a house soon.

The lease here is up in July so hopefully we can find a place before then. Our plan is to have both places for a month so that we can get any work we need done in the house and slowly move stuff over. Wish us luck…

Stupid video games. So addictive, so challenging, so frustrating.

Rob thinks I’m crazy now. He never knew till I started playing Amped for the X-box today, that when my gaming doesn’t go the way I like, I scream, shout and rant a whole lot.

Amped is a pretty good game based on freestyle snowboarding, but it takes so long on some of the runs to master the moves. Quite frustrating. A game should be challenging, but it shouldn’t take a million tries to beat a level.

I strongly recommend trying the game, just make sure you have way more patience than I do. Otherwise you will slowly go insane.

Should be able to get some good pics tonight to post on the site later this week. A bunch of us from work are headin’ out for some drinks, pool, good times. Good way to spend night 2 of my vacation…
