Whew…

 

It’s been a busy weekend for me. Thursday saw me spend a good part of the day sleeping (since I worked until 8am). Then I had to work @ Domino’s. It was really slow so I was out of there at about 6:30. Nic [since it appears she prefers a 'c' instead of a 'k' :-) ] came over after she was done work and we watched The Amazing Race and then went to bed. Had to be up early as we had to pick up the U-Haul at 8am. The move itself went SMOOOOOOOOTTTHHHHH! Her (former) next-door neighbour came over and helped load the truck along with her brother, dad, me & her. Her mom was co-ordinating.

We had EVERYTHING unloaded in the apartment by 10:00! Then Nic & I went out and did a bit of running around we had to do including picking up her new satellite tv system. While we did that, Nic’s mom, neighbour, brother & brother’s girlfriend put together all the stuff that needed assembling (except for the bed – which Nic, Tracy & Jason put together). Nic’s mom also did all the dishes and a whole ton of cleaning.

Today was a little more laid back. We hung the blinds, artwork and stuff. Nic finished unpacking her boxes so everything’s unpacked. Basically, within about 30 hours of moving in Nic was COMPLETELY finished unpacking and her apartment is finished. Yay!
