Happy Easter! (I thought after the fact that I shoulda changed the site around for Easter but oh well…)

No updates for the past little bit as there hasn’t been much to update on…

My car is still in the shop. Apparently the first head they sent wasn’t quite working. My car was still leaking oil. Granted, it wasn’t GUSHING out like when the head cracked but it was leaking from somewhere…My Uncle’s working on it and I’m sure I’ll have it back as soon as he’s done. (If for no other reason than he’s probably sick of looking at it!)

Pika has a new “friend”. Tracy got a kitten a couple weeks back. Things were tense around the apartment let me tell you. Pika wasn’t having anything to do with this kitten. Now, keep in mind, Pika’s about 10 times the size of this little fluff of furr with legs. Nope, she ran. Hid in my room and wouldn’t come out. I had to move her food, water and litter into my room. She’s started coming out now and the past couple days they’ve been “playing”. They’ll chase each other around the apt and the like but there’s still some hissing going on with Pika. It shouldn’t be too much longer before she accepts Kyla into the fold….I hope.

Okay, consider this your official warning. I’m getting my car back tomorrow (after a couple weeks in the shop). The price you pay for gas (at least around London anyway) will probably jump about $1.40/litre. You see, when my car went in, it needed gas. The next day, gas dropped to about .67/litre. Now that I’m getting it back I expect to see gas jump WAAAAAYYYY up. you’ve been warned…

Gah! Still haven’t won the Super 7. They must be in some round of giant lotteries. One person (again, NOT ME!) won the $25 million. It should have been me. All in all though, it’s not too bad. This just means that NEXT week I’ll win the prize of $30 million…yeah, that’s it, that’s the ticket…

I was in A&P the other night and found that CocaCola is selling 2 litre bottles of Kosher Coke. I kid you not. I didn’t post this yesterday because everyone would have thought that this was an April Fools Day joke. Apparently it is response to the upcoming Passover.

If you read it you will find that PepBoys (a car parts chain down in the United States) seems to be firing its employees if they happen to be Reservists and called up to active duty. Sure, they deny it. The courts are set to be the ultimate judge. I’m not sure why exactly this bothers me so much. Up here in Canada we don’t even have any federal laws that guarantee job security. Maybe that’s why our military is so pathetic. Regardless, for the maybe one or so persons from the US that visit this site, please don’t shop at PepBoys. Even if you don’t support the current war (which is fine), think about it. This really has nothing to do with the war; this has to do with individual people’s lives and livelyhood. All these poor folks did was volunteer to step up and defend their country in a time of need. They don’t get to say, “Oh I don’t think invading Iraq is a good idea, mind if I sit this one out?” They go. And some die.
